Gaspé, February 3, 2025 – No fewer than 104 runners, ranging from 4 to 74 years old, took on the challenge of running at the Pin Rouge Tourist Station on Saturday, February 1st, as part of the 18th edition of the Trail Polaire Gaspesia, presented by CIEU FM. This edition stood out for its strong participation of young athletes aged 10 to 16, proving that the future of trail running in Gaspésie is in good shoes!
At a time when people are lamenting the lack of snow and cold in Gaspésie, this event, which had previously reached a peak of 46 runners in 2022 at Pin Rouge, shattered all records by surpassing 100 participants for the first time. Participants traveled from as far as Montreal, Saint-Hyacinthe, and Quebec City to take part, showing that neither distance nor cold can stop visitors from discovering Gaspésie in the heart of winter!
