Florent Bouguin has become well known in trail racing in the province of Quebec, and yet this sport is relatively new to him. In a period of four years, he has won the title in major races in Quebec such as the Ultra-Trail Harricana of Canada and the Bromont Ultra (pairs). In the hills of San Francisco he finished 15th overall in the finals of the North Face challenge prior to coming in second at Bear Mountains, another challenge in the series. He also holds a 2015 race record from the Bryce 100
At the Ultramarathon in the Canary Islands, the Quebec adopted son, who was born on the French island of Réunion, finished in 15th place and placed 2nd in the TransMartinique!
Last year, he returned to his native country to compete in the Diagonale des fous, a 164 km footrace with an elevation gain of nearly 10 000 metres.
We will have the privilege of counting Florent among the participants of the first Ultra Trail G100, when he takes on our 100 mile challenge.
