Now a must in the world of Canadian trail running, the Gaspesia Race Series is proud to held the 10th edition of the Ultra Trail Gaspesia 100 (UTG100), a unique trail running experience between the shoreline and mountain ranges of the Gaspésie!
OUR “ULTRAS” RACES
Presented in partnership with the City of Percé, the UNESCO Global Geopark of Percé and the parc national de l’Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé, the Ultra Trail Gaspesia 100 is an event featuring a challenge of 100 mile endurance in partial autonomy. As with its little sister of 110 km, it is possible to participate alone or in a team (2 to 6 people). The teams are free to define the stages of each relay, according to their taste and their ability, while respecting the authorized relay passing locations (see race guide). Solo races of 55 kilometers and 85 kilometers are also included in our “ultra” program!
OUR “TRAIL” RACES
To allow any runner to take part in the event, and discover the exceptional mountainous scenery of the Percé region, we also offer 5, 15, 25 and 35 km courses.
The Trans-Percé, a three days stage event, is also on the program of the event in 25, 50 or 100 km format, while the Island trails (7 and 12 km) will delight runners with sea legs! Finally, beginners and the youngest will be able to spend all their energy on races specially organized for them (1 and 3 km courses).
The departures of the UTG100 are given in Percé, tourist capital of Gaspésie, on the outskirts of the famous rock known worldwide. The routes mainly follow single-track trails leading to the most spectacular viewpoints in the area. Participants will discover landscapes featuring Rocher-Percé, Île-Bonaventure, Rivière-aux-Émeraudes, Rivière de l’Anse-à-Beaufils and of course, the Gulf of Saint-Laurent! All while enjoying the legendary welcome of the Gaspé residents!
