Following the success of three first editions, the Gaspesia Race Series is proud to held a new edition of the Ultra Trail Gaspesia 100 (UTG100), a unique trail running experience between the shoreline and mountain ranges of the Gaspésie!
A solo experience…
Presented in partnership with the Town of Percé, the Ultra Trail Gaspesia 100 is a partial autonomous 100 mile endurance race. The UTG100 also offers ultra running courses of 106 and 53 km in addition to 1-13-25 and 35 km paths that will allow all runners to unique athletic experience in an exceptional mountainous region of Percé and unique island trail on Bonaventure-Island! Two 3 three days stage race, the Trans-Percéwith 100 km and a 50 km, are also at the event program!
Or a team experience…
Our 160 and 106 kilometers races are also open to teams relay of 2 to 6 people. The teams are free to plan their relays according to the tastes, skills and calibers of the team members, respecting the places where the relays are allowed. Teams may nominate only one runner at a time on the trails. The team class has only three categories; men, women and mixed, regardless of the number of team members!
The starting point of the UTG100 will take place in Percé, the tourist capital of the Gaspésie, near the world renowned Percé Rock. The route will provide mainly single track trails all leading up to the point with the most spectacular view of the area. Participants will discover landscapes featuring Percé Rock, Bonaventure Island, the Emerald River, Anse-à-Beaufils River and obviously, the Gulf of St.-Lawrence.
As a member of the International Trail Runner Association (ITRA), Ultra Trail Gaspesia 100 award ITRA points to their «ultra» races finishers who want to be qualifying to the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc and the ITRA world standing. The points awarded are as follows:
15 h 00 à 19 h 00 – Cueillette des trousses d’inscription (obligatoire pour le 160km, 104km, 54km)
1 to 3:00pm – Registration kit pick-up (GI 7, GI13, TP50 ET TP100)
3 to 7:00pm – Registration kit pick-up (obligatory for 160km, 104km, 54km)
3:00pm – All aboard for the Bonaventure-Island Prologue
4:00pm – Bonaventure Island Prologue start (GI 7, GI13, TP50#1 ET TP100#1)
6:30pm –GI7 & GI13 awards ceremony
7:30pm – Pre-event meeting at Église St-Michel de Percé (obligatory for 160, 104, 54 and stage races participants)
4:30am – Departure of the bus for the 5:00am start
5:00am – 160 km, TP100 #2 and 54 km start (Plage des Pêcheurs)
7 to 9:00pm – Registration kit pick-up (25 km)
8:00am – 105 km, start
9:00am – Departure of the bus for the 5:00am start
10:00am – 25 km and TP50 #2 start (Vieille Usine de l’Anse-à-Beaufils)
11:00am – Arrival of the first runners
1:00pm – 54 km awards ceremony
4 am to 8:30 AM– Registration and registration kit pick-up (35, 13, and kids race)
5 am – Start of 35 km & TP100 #3
9 am – Start of 13 km & TP50 #3
9:10 am – Start of Défi des Moussaillons kids race 1 & 3 km
10:00pm – Kids race award ceremony
