PR – Registration open for Canada’s only 100 mile race

Gaspé, February 23, 2015 – The Gaspé Bouette & Bitume (B2) cycling festival team is proud to announce the registration opening for Canada’s only 100 mile mountain bike marathon race; the Gaspesia 100 (G100) which will take place on September 5, 2015 in the magnificent town of Perce. The G100 is the first ever 100 mile (160 km) mountain bike marathon race to be presented in Quebec and Eastern Canada.

The event will also feature 75 mile (120 km), 50 mile (80 km) and 25 mile (40 km) races on various sections of the main course, all held in the festive and authentic atmosphere of the Bouette & Bitume, the only cycling festival in Canada welcoming all types of riders.

Early bird registration is available for $85 ($45 for the G25) until April 1, 2015. “Our team is working hard to create exceptional trails that will impress all our participants. There is no doubt that our land will offer a unique mountain bike marathon experience in Quebec”, declared G100 founder Jean-François Tapp.

The G100 will also be part of Bouette & Bitume’s brand new event: the B2 Challenge. This unique experience will offer cyclists the opportunity to combine times obtained in the G100 with those performed the next day on their road bike in the Gran Fondo Forillon (100, 75, 50 or 25 mile races), thus allowing B2 Challenge participants to proclaim themselves “versatile” cyclists

Founded in 2012 by the Club Vélocipeg de Gaspé, the Bouette & Bitume cycling festival (B2) has rapidly made a name for itself among summer cycling events.
